A Click Day only for Mountain Guides

Trofeo Kima, final hours for pre-registration, which will officially close on February 16 at 6:00 PM. The organizing office of the Grande Corsa on the Sentiero Roma has already received a very high number of requests compared to the 300 available slots. For those who have not yet applied, the only way to access the selection process and earn the chance to race in the first of the two Italian stages of the Merrell Skyrunner® World Series is to visit the Kima website and complete a form requiring proof of completion of several technical races and a minimum ITRA score (650 for men, 500 for women).

As announced, pre-registration will officially close on February 16. Within one week, the organizing committee will review the submitted résumés and publish the list of selected athletes, who must finalize their registration by Monday the 23rd by paying the required entry fee.

NEW FOR 2026 – MOUNTAIN GUIDES AND ASPIRANT GUIDES
Pierangelo Marchetti, known as Kima, was a rescuer and an Mountain Guide. Following the many participation requests received from his fellow professionals, the organizing committee has decided to open a reserved slot of 50 places for “mountain experts,” namely Mountain Guides and Aspirant Mountain Guides. The click day will start at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17. The first 50 to submit their application will earn the opportunity to race. At accreditation, they will be required to provide their membership number. Once the list has been reviewed, they will be contacted—together with the other 300 aspiring 2026 finishers—to officially confirm registration.

THE MOST TECHNICAL AND ADRENALINE-FILLED COURSE AWAITS
Their graduation thesis at the university of sky-high racing will be the 52 extremely technical kilometers featuring 8,400 meters of total elevation gain and seven alpine passes all above 2,500 meters (highest point: Passo Cameraccio, 2,950 m) that have built the legend of Kima.
We conclude by reminding that registrations for the “younger sisters” of the World Cup ultra-alpine race (Kima Extreme Skyrace, Kima Trail and MiniKima) will open on May 1.
